Montague Golf Club
Montague Tournaments
| Montague is also the host of several tournaments held annually and in 2007, we added the Vermont Family Readiness Group, Hartford Hockey, and United Way among others. |
 |
| The season typically has such tournaments as the Men's & Women's Member-Guest, Member-Member, Montague Club Championships, and finishes off with the Frozen Fingers Tournament in late October. Mixed in between all of those are several smaller tournaments designed to bring out the best in our golfers. |
Listed below were the tournaments in 2007. Montague Golf Club has both a dining and kitchen facilities to handle most tournaments. If you're interested in having Montague host your tournament or outing, please contact us at (802)728-3806.

Montague Club Championships
In every Club across the country, and probably the world, there's always the debate of "who's the best"? This debate is usually settled by a tournament to decide this question. And like many Clubs with a long and rich history, Montague has settled this question with an annual tournament.
On the Clubhouse walls of Montague, these winners are listed along with the years of their triumph(s). Some, like Robert Hutchinson, David Barnard, Robert Soule, Jeff Sherman and Karen Lewis are multiple winners and Montague "Legends." Every year golfers work hard and hope for the lucky breaks in order to join this prestigious "Club" adorned on the Wall of Fame.
2007 was a year for first time winners in both the Men's & Ladies Divisions. The winner of the 2007 Men's match-play Championship Flight was Ben Lacaillade who has perservered after many disappointing tries. He defeated Mike McCollough to win his first Montague Club Championship.
In the Ladies Division season, there were two champions. In the Scratch Division of the Ladies' Championship, Karen Lewis won another championship to add to her list of many other titles defeating Judy Luce. In the Handicap Championship, Sandy Bingham won (her second championship!) over Angie Hildenbrand. Congratulations to both Karen & Sandy, as well as Judy & Angie!
The final tally for the winners of the 2007 Championship Season are:
