At some courses in Vermont, you are made to feel as if you are privileged to be allowed to play that their course. At Montague, you are made to feel as if we are privileged to have you spend your golf outing with us. This is how the staff at Montague treats all golfers. Whether you are a long time member, or a new visitor, the staff is happy to have you here and ready to lend a helping hand. This attitude starts from the top down. From our volunteer Board of Directors, Golf Director Bob Hanlon and to our veteran clubhouse staff members. We'd like you to meet them.

Director of Golf & Course Superintendent / Lessons

The person responsible for everything inside and around the clubhouse is Montague's new Director of Golf, Bob Hanlon.  Bob comes to Montague with many years at Lake Morey Resort. He's experienced in providing top quality service and products.

Bob also provides professional golf lessons, so if you have a "hitch" in your swing that you'd like to correct, stop by at your earliest convenience and talk to Bob.  He'll cure what ails you!

The Junior Program at Montague Golf Club has always been a priority, and not because because they are tomorrow's adult members, but instead, our next generation of golfers and champions.  Instilling the love, the challenge, the etiquette, the rules, the social aspects, and the many other wonderful qualities that golf offers is something that the members of Montague feel strongly about.

Over the years more and more junior golfers have begun playing at Montague.  The success, style, class, and "coolness" of Tiger Woods has had an enormous influence on the younger generation of golfers.  Tiger himself is the product of successful junior programs in Southern California.  Because of golfers like Tiger, Luke Donald, and Aaron Baddely (originally from Lebanon NH!), golf is a sport that's admired and thoroughly enjoyed by our youth.

For these reasons, the Junior Golf Committee was formed years ago, and the Junior Program followed.

The Junior Committee invites all Junior Golfers to come out and be a part of this program.  Remember, you may not be able to skateboard forever, but you can golf for life!
